General Electric Associate Manufacturing Engineer in Bohemia, New York

Role Summary:The Associate Manufacturing Engineer is critical to supporting the production floor and is responsible to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals relating to the manufacturing process.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions and create process routings

  • Program SMT and CCA equipment

  • Review and ensure lead times and other Oracle attributes are accurate

  • Implement and create ECN/drawing changes

  • Process Improvement/Cycle Reduction initiatives

  • Collaborate across different business functions to resolve problems

  • Present to internal teams on metrics, project status and research

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

  • Focused on continuous improvement and always looking for opportunities to make things better

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

  • Great oral and written communicator

  • Strong Computer Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, including IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities

  • Enjoy working with people and have the ability to resolve a wide range of personnel issue
