Job Description Summary
The role will examine and interpret large sets of medical and imaging data in order to build targeted datasets and solutions supporting our work in digital pharma. They must have a deep understanding of clinical data ontologies and terminologies, data standards used in current clinical practice, technical underpinnings of healthcare IT deployments and be experienced modeling data using standardize lexicons, vocabularies, and dictionaries.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Design & build technical clinical data dictionaries and ontologies to support real world data sourcing for digital pharma
Perform data profiling and data analysis for source systems, manually maintained data, machine or sensor generated data and target data repositories
Use care pathway experience to determine proper sequencing and longitudinal attributes elements to create targeted datasets
Develop and maintain data mapping specifications based on the results of data analysis and functional requirements
Build a variety to data catalogs and real world datasets for internal and 3rd party consumption
Work closely with data architects and clinical specialists to provide the most accurate representation of what a real world dataset may look like in clinical practice
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), or Healthcare related fields with advanced experience.
Desired Characteristics & Expertise:
Expertise with Healthcare specific dictionaries, lexicons, vocabularies and codes (ICD, CPT, DRG, LOINC, RXNORM, SNOMED, etc.)
Experience working in or with multiple care pathways or service lines, such as Cardiology, Oncology, Surgery, Imaging, or Emergency medicine
Experience working as a Clinical Informatics in a healthcare setting
Hands-on experience working with Healthcare data of various types and formats
Hands-on experience in writing SQL scripts for MS SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
Exposure to unstructured datasets and ability to handle XML, JSON file formats
Conduct exploratory data analysis and generate visual summaries of data. Identify data quality issues proactively.
Exposure to handling healthcare datasets from healthcare providers
Clinical care pathway experience
5+ years experience as an Informaticist in the Healthcare industry
A good team player with self-driven execution capabilities.
Ability to communicate ideas clearly with cross teams.
Ability to showcase teamwork skills to achieve common goals, provide resolutions and share ideas.
