Role Summary:

This role is responsible for proactively developing & implementing the GE Healthcare sales strategy by creating & sustaining strategic relationships/alliances with GPO corporate leadership staff and member account leadership. This position will align and integrate the GEHC account communities with GPO members. The National Account Executive will be accountable for contract negotiation, relationship management, and delivering growth for GE Healthcare in the GPO membership.

Essential Responsibilities:

•Define and measures success based on GPO member value proposition and operating metrics

•Sell full GE portfolio of contracted products

•Create and foster C-suite level relationships

•Create, develop, and execute on a system-wide strategy for key GPO customers, both internally and externally

•Lead an account community

•Drive mutually beneficial and lasting GPO member relationships based on clear vision and understanding of GPO member future

•Use speed and simplicity as a reliable differentiator that allows GPO member to excel in their industry

•Embed GPO members in GE’s strategic planning process

•Discovers unknown GPO member needs and drives solutions to meet them

•Provide on-going, proactive feedback to management, product teams, services and marketing

•Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of GPO business objectives and keep GE Healthcare Zone, Region & Product management informed and appropriately involved

•Lead GPO contract negotiations and develop strategic commercial programs in GPO member accounts

•Achieve GPO orders and deal engagement operating plans in GPO member accounts

•Build relationships, develop a business strategy, and maximize business opportunities for all GE Healthcare businesses, products & services within GPO member accounts

•Represent entire GEHC product portfolio and act as a primary GPO member point of contact in GPO member accounts

•Develop & implement Go-to-Market plans with Zone (Region – U.S. only) cross functional and multi-product teams to achieve results through effective project proposals, negotiations, and contracts

•Grow GE's share of wallet in GPO membership for GE Healthcare products and services

•Follow all applicable GE policies, procedures and operating mechanisms

•Proactively participate in company initiatives depending on organizational needs and as directed by management

•Ensure knowledge of and compliance with Quality, Regulatory, integrity and company policies


• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 10 years in medical device sales and National/Corporate accounts experience

• Fifty percent travel to GPO member facilities and GE account communities.

• Strong Analytic Skills: Demonstrated skill to clearly analyze financial information and generate alternatives

• Excellent Communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing

• Effective at building relationships across the organization and with GPO members

• Skilled at managing conflict

• Strong PC skills: experience with financial applications including Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint, skills

• Experience closing large, complex, strategic deals

• Proven key account management and project planning skills

• Outstanding influencing, interpersonal and networking skills to drive collaborative culture at all levels

• Coping with pressure: Works productively in a pressurized environment. Keeps emotions under control during difficult situations

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

• High level presentation skills; able to present ideas to GPO members in a way that produces understanding and impact
