Role purpose

Avio Polska 3rd Parties NPI is looking for a talented engineer to join our team.

The Gears Designer’s prime responsibility will be to perform design activities related to gears of aeronautical mechanical accessory transmissions for current and future applications and lead hardware procurement & management

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• The Gears HW Owner utilizes expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to affect short-term and some long-term business goals

• In addition you will:

• Build and strengthen technical knowledge expertise on gears and shafts for aeronautical accessory and power gearboxes

• Execute technical feasibility studies and concept design of mechanical transmission components, with a focus on gears design

• Design sub-system and components identifying alternatives, agreeing upon design CTQs, scoring and down-selecting optimal solution to achieve product performance/cost/weight.

• Capture system requirements, flow-down to components definition identifying relevant validation needs

• Proactively support activities with other departments and suppliers (concurrence design)

• Issue the technical documents relative to the components design according to engineering policies and procedures (presentations as well as analysis reports, certification reports, design record books)

• Contribute to and participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews

• Support source technological substantiation and non-conformances assessments (MRB)

• Support activities related to development findings, components performance and investigations (test requests, test data postprocess, laboratories investigation)

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or similar

• Good knowledge of fundamental mechanical design concepts, mechanics of materials, design

• Clear thinking and diligent approach

• English knowledge, both written and oral.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• EU work permit
