Job Description Summary
Avio Aero is a world class Leader of aeroengine propulsion, engaged in design and development of turbo prop Catalyst engine dedicated for commercial and Eurodron application.
In this spirit, we are looking for a talented engineer in Avio Polska Bielsko Biala location who will perform FEM mechanical analysis of Catalyst engine power turbine rotor and blades.
Aim of this role is to support design and Hardware Owners of power turbine rotor and blades leveraging FEM expertise in order to meet safety, quality, delivery and costs requirements.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Execute the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural components of aircraft engines related to NPI (New Product Implementation) process, engine certification, field / manufacturing support, component repair implementation and other processes.
Recommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements. Implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedule and contract commitments.
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated to substantiate analyzed components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Monitor and effectively communicate projects status, issues and significant developments.
Participate in module efforts in design, analysis and manufacturing technology, quality and other technical initiatives.
Cooperate with Mechanical Transmissions Module Designer and Hardware Owners on trade studies and lay-out definition phase of NPI.
Develop rotating & static components to meet spec. requirements and achieve the targets of stress & durability, producibility, cost.
Issue technical documents (i.e.: reports, specifications, design record books) and carry out analysis relevant to component design.
Support Design Reviews and validation/certification/testing activities
Proactively liaise with other Company functions and Suppliers, to achieve producibility, manufacturability and cost targets.
Support Technological Validation activities and Quality Notifications (QN) for gearbox components.
Provide reports to other team members for static structures related tasks (e.g.: VTs, QNs, support to manufacturing)
Continue to build technical knowledge expertise in aeronautical gearbox components
Participate/lead Lean and problem solving projects across the organization
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor/Master of Mechanical Engineering/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university
Experience with FEM tools (i.e. Ansys, HyperMesh, Nastran)
Experience with CAD tools (i.e. Unigraphics NX) – will be additional value
English language knowledge, both written and oral (Italian language will be an advantage)
PC proficiency
EU Work Permit
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to perform in an international team environment
