Job Description Summary
The role involves business and technical responsibility for Engineering Center activities & deliverables, people leadership with a team of directly reporting leaders and specialists, management of high volumes of activities in outsourcing, close co-operation with global supply chain, other functions and final customer, operating in global organization with multiple internal and external stakeholders and supporting relations with local and academic authorities/institutions.

Roles and Responsibilities
Development, mentoring and management of a team of people leaders & specialists in various aeroengine product commodities, co-owning, and supporting Avio Aero engineering and business deliverables, holding the teams accountable for prioritization centered around Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), fostering the technical and operational excellence,
Proactively address business challenges & opportunities, strategically planning and managing the Engineering Center activities, creating vision of future development, defining Scope of Work, assuring retention and development of key competences and responsibilities,
Coordinate and lead operational management of the Engineering Center activities including budgeting, staffing, project planning, vouchering, reporting, outsourcing/insourcing decisions and processes, operations reviews, and reporting on the team performance on key KPI’s including on-time delivery, product and process support, talent management, attrition, actions to address emerging issues,
Work with supporting functions, global and cross functional teams (Operations, Human Resources, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality) to support and develop lean processes and procedures related with business and engineering deliverables, standardize best practices, drive problem solving, consistent project management operations, process & quality improvements, provide feedback on lessons learned,
Support communications, branding, talent acquisition and retention, build and cultivate positive relations with local and academic authorities & institutions,
Provide regular and on-demand action status, business, technical, cost and risk management updates to internal stakeholders
Comply and hold the teams accountable for all company and customer health and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree or equivalent in mechanical or aviation engineering
At least 5 years of experience in leading global, diverse engineering teams with matrix organization structure and multiple stakeholders,
Hands-on experience in aeroengine design engineering, production, and product support, at component, module, and system level
Ability to build positive and long-lasting relationships with business partners and supporting functions
Demonstrated understanding of aeroengine business model
Ability to work in complex, dynamic, challenging environment
Fluent written and oral communication in English
