Job Description Summary

The Supplier Delivery Leader will manage supplier relationships and drive on time delivery of parts to GE sites and work with engineering, quality, materials and manufacturing to proactively identify and solve critical delivery problems for the Maternal Infant Care business.

Work with suppliers to ensure they have capacity, raw material and internal resources to support current and future schedules, minimize risk at suppliers, monitor their execution and coordinate with functional experts to mitigate problems prior to their impact on customers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of supplier delivery improvement plans and supplier capacity planning and development.

  • Lead proactive supplier capacity assessment and contingency planning by identifying risks as suppliers and executing plans to sustain capacity.

  • Effectively manage supplier relationships and create supplier accountability.

  • Proactively monitor supplier delivery performance and develop improvement strategies.Analyze data to identify areas ofimprovement and provide objective evidence for root causes of late deliveries.

  • Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material meets the needs of the business, optimizing material availability with inventory and excess and obsolescence risk.

  • Work with global cross-functional teams consisting of materials, engineering, quality and sourcing to solve critical delivery problems.

  • Communicate timely and effectively across key stakeholders.

  • Work with suppliers to ensure they have capacity, raw material and internal resources to support current and future schedules, minimize risk at suppliers, monitor their execution and coordinate with functional experts to mitigate problems prior to their impact on customers.

  • Drive delivery health measured by high on-time delivery >90% across all assigned suppliers and part numbers.

  • This role reports to the Program Sourcing Manager and is fully integrated into the Strategic Business Unit.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Engineering, Sourcing, Operations or Supply Chain.

  • Excellent business/financial acumen, ability to act as business partner through horizontal teams with the ability to influence and drive change in a collaborative and effective way.

  • Ability to drive long strategic partnerships with suppliers and demonstrated experience in optimizing supplier base performance- Quality, Fulfillment, Cost, Cash and Contract.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of time.

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum 8 years experience in Engineering, Sourcing, Operations or Supply Chain.

  • Electronic component market knowledge.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Ability to document, plan, market and execute programs.
