Job Description Summary

The Technical Solution Manager (TSM) is responsible for defining, documenting, and end-to-end owning the feature specifications of a product on the Customer Digital Experience (CDX) team. This role involves close interaction with technical product managers (TPMs), user experience (UX) leaders, technology architects, development leads, and internal and external GEHC customers.

Job Description

Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Collaborate with product team(s) and other internal/external customers to understand business requirements for existing and/or new products/solutions.

  • Lead discovery and conceptual design work required to translate business needs into solutions and features

  • Understand overall solution and translate into functional and non-functional requirements. Includes specifications, graphical representations, and presentations that describe the desired solution or product feature. Documentation includes volume and usage predictions, user interface design concepts, error prevention and detection strategies, and flow design.

  • Reconcile disparate information and structure/present it in a way that is understood by all stakeholders.

  • Balance business requirements with technical feasibility

  • Research and evaluate solution alternatives and deliver proposals that meet competitive needs.

  • Identify constraints and assumptions that shape the scope, cost and timing of the solution.

  • Analyze existing competitive systems against product strategies and make well-defined recommendations and execution plans for efficiency and architecture/design improvements within and outside the execution of current projects.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and vendors to seamlessly integrate the project area into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization.

  • Oversee the integration of existing GE technologies to proposed solution(s)

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Self-motivated, self-efficient, and passionate about their work

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of Agile Development practices and experience working on an Agile Scrum Teams

  • Experience solutioning products which are deployed across multiple countries & geographies

  • Proficient at operating within a globally distributed team

  • Experience with commercial product development / delivery

  • Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience working with Rally Software

  • Experience working with Full Stack Web Technologies
