Responsible for designing and programming a small module or a large component and designing a feature, set of features, or whole feature area. Essential Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

• Deploy and manage application platform (Kubernetes will be primary focus and CloudFoundry as secondary platform)

• Conduct production system activities like certificate upgrades, system upgrade, triage any issues, etc.

• Setup and maintain storage clusters for kubernetes

• Build monitoring dashboard and setup alerts

• Integrate third-party tools, Paas/SaaS services

• Research and prototype using open source technologies

• Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge

• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project

• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance

• Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen

• Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

• A minimum of 6+ years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product

Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

• 2+ Experience in CNCF storage solutions like rook and ceph is mandatory

• Must have 3+ experience in designing, setting up and management of kubernetes platform in production environment

• Experience in Terraform based automation is mandatory

• Experience in defining security standards for the platform will be an added advantage

• Rancher experience is preferred

• Experience in setting up platform monitoring and setting up alerts/dashboards

• Experience in AWS. Engineers with AWS DevOps certification will be preferred

• Linux/Ubuntu experience is a must

• Experience in maintaining cloud foundry platform or bosh orchestration tool will be preferred

• Manage operational needs for scaling our PAAS services platform

• Proficient in authoring and presenting architectural documents and diagrams

• Candidates with golang development and helm chart experience will be preferred

• Strong problem solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments

• Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems

• Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks

• Evangelizes how our technology solves customer problems from a technology and business perspective

• Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions

• Influences through others; builds direct and ""behind the scenes"" support for ideas
