Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

This position will be responsible to define Test Strategy for Manual and Automation testing for the different Power DT applications. In this role you will drive Functional, Regression, API, Automation, System level Test Management for multiple releases across the Gas Power Dt.

As an Automation Test Manager, you will be key in driving testing programs establishing Power’s IT test strategy to ensure it supports established enterprise goals.

The role includes responsibility of Testing scope Impact analysis, Unit, Functional, Integration, Regression, Automation testing delivery between different Tech stacks and related systems.

This Techno Functional role will drive and determine the right testing tools and technology adoption and right roadmap for the overall Power landscape. The Manager will lead a testing team to drive technology solutions that are effective and have strong business capability focus and long-term sustainability.

You will also need to stay on top of the latest testing trends and technologies which fits for the upcoming product roadmaps

Automation Test Manager should interact with Technical architects, Solution Specialists, Process Excellence team, Leadership, Business partners to understand the project scope and should be able to identify testing scope to ensure that products and their platform capabilities are meeting the needs and standards of diverse stakeholders.

The position will be responsible to Mentor/coach senior team members and focus on continuous learning and improvement.

• Coordinate deliverables across functional stakeholders, customers, 3rd party vendors and partners within subject matter expertise

• Understanding, influencing and negotiating with customers and partners in defining and driving requirements

• Design, build and operationalize solutions to meet the needs of both functional stakeholders and end users

• Manage vendor and partner relationships, driving enhancement plans for both technical integration improvements as well as operational and support enhancements

Desired Characteristics:

  • 12+ years overall experience with 10+ Test Management experience

  • Experience of automated & manual testing of different product lines, in Java, CRM, CPQ, Field Devices Testing etc.

  • Strong Experience in Automation Framework Design

  • Must have done functional testing and API Testing

  • Excellent co-ordination skill with experience of managing business stakeholders.

  • Must have worked on defining Test Strategy, Plans and Test solutions.

  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience on Automation tool like Work soft, UFT, Selenium, Junit

  • Must have ability to define needed levels and types of testing for different projects

  • Ability to manage end to end testing activities and have exposure on Test Reporting, Defect Management using Test Management tools (example- ALM, SOLMAN, JIRA).

  • Excellent communication and Team management skill.

  • Hands on experience testing and automation

  • Experience in building Testing practice from scratch

  • Experience in managing large teams with 20 resources.

  • Design the Automation framework for all applications

  • Excellent knowledge of industry-leading test tools and frameworks

Technical skills, Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options, and where appropriate, leading to resolution

  • Ability to clearly articulate both problems and proposed solutions

  • Ability to prioritize personal and team workloads to best meet organizational objectives

  • Empowered to make decisions and recommend approach based on the results from quality reviews

  • Expertise in Creating Test Automation Frameworks with Selenium/Worksoft/UFT/C#

  • Experience in Agile environment and DevOps

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD Pipelines

  • Expertise in setting up Automation Suites in CI/CD Environment

  • Experience developing API automated testing solutions using UFT, Selenium, JUnit, Soap UI, TestNG, and JMeter

  • Ability to determine strategic direction and not just tactical

  • Strong programming and technical experience as this role will require digging into code and interfacing with developers and delivery managers

  • Knowledge of tools and processes for results reporting

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

  • Maintains knowledge of specific technical specialists, provides detailed advice regarding their application, and executes specialized tasks

  • Motivated by delivery and speed to outcome

  • Ability to determine strategic direction not just tactical

  • The ability to work and team effectively with clients and other management personnel across geographies

  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change

  • Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations under pressure

  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle including the functional and non-functional test phases

  • Knowledge of Quality Management techniques

  • knowledge of Agile and automation processes

  • Demonstrates the ability to research, formulate relevant questions and seek advice about specific concepts and practices to deepen learning and application skills related to Quality Management

  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of key principles related to Software Development Process Improvement.

Education Qualification

For roles outside USA:

Bachelor's Degree in with basic experience.

For roles in USA:Bachelor's Degree in with minimum years of experience2years

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science.

Minimum 10 years of IT professional experience in testing and automation

Proven experience in test management and coordination
