Job Description Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for building the next gen strategic platform for managing GE Healthcare’s Installed Base (e.g. MRIs, CTs, Ultrasounds etc.). You will be responsible for operating in lockstep with functional teams & stakeholders to create a clear strategic direction for development needs and conveys that vision to the development team. You will direct the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements and partner with the team to determine what can be delivered through balancing the need for new features, defects, and technical debt. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders: Region leaders, Global Process Owners, Field Engineers, Product Managers, Architects and Developers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Interact with internal and/or external customers and product managers to understand customer needs and timelines, formulate product roadmaps and drive product deployment and adoption to realize the intended business outcome

  • Lead discussions with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback

  • Identify and drive installed base consumption use cases (e.g. for digital selling, building personalized digital experience for our customers, cross selling planning by sales teams)

  • Routinely collaborate with UX in design decisions. Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate on personas

  • Lead discovery and conceptual design work required to translate business needs into solutions and features

  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering teams

  • Demonstrate excellent business acumen, stay abreast with latest industry trends and be looked at as an internal expert on the product as well as associated competitive landscape

  • Collaborate with PM for the release and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases

  • Own and manage the backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready

  • Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs

  • Engage frequently (50% of the time) with the development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contribute to design activities and decisions

  • Partner with Development Leadership/Service Owners to ensure healthy development process

  • Possess a deep understanding of the technology stack and impact on final product

  • Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the product

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Information Technology OR MBA with 3+ years of experience in Information Technology

  • Product management experience in cloud computing technology space, or enterprise solutions

Desired Characteristics

  • Proficient in web services, online technologies, and user interface design

  • Understanding of IT system integrations

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

  • Knowledge on application integration, APIs, UI/UX, data quality, and data governance

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus
