Job Description Summary
The Sr Staff Technical Product Manager – IT HR/Legal role resides within the Finance, HR & Legal CIO organization in GE Gas Power. The objective of this role is to define the strategy and manage the HR/Legal applications portfolio. In addition, this role will also support the PMO and Program Council engagement for the broader D&A as well as Finance, HR & Legal organization.
Define and drive the strategy for HR applications within GE Gas Power; partner with IT teams & stakeholder to execute the strategy
Act as SPOC for the HR stakeholders working closely with them to anticipate, plan and execute for their IT requirements
Own & manage the ecosystem of HR applications withing GE Gas Power
Research and evaluate best practices and IT technologies related to local specific HR applications including timesheet & site security application
Act as PMO/Program Council Leader across the D&A and Finance/HR/Legal IT team. This includes working with the Gas Power DT PMO team and driving cross-team initiatives across the organization like SII cycles, data requests for the PMO, etc.
Actively participate and contribute in the Enterprise Architecture and Data councils within the scope of HR IT
Identify opportunities for Data and Analytics products to help the HR stakeholders
Advocate and drive data quality at source within the HR tools & Systems
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with significant post-Bachelor’s degree related experience in IT (10 to 15 years).
Experience with Technology Platform in Infrastructure and Architectural Design in Cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Azure
Expertise in operating, supporting, analyzing and troubleshooting small & large-scale distributed systems
Lean / Agile experience
Understand IT compliance & security requirements
Prior experience with HR systems & Tools (Workday, Timesheet applications, site security applications) is a plus
Change Management /Acceleration capabilities
Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels
Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership
