Job Description Summary
The MDH (Mobile Digital Health) team is working on next generation monitoring platform & solution. It will provide critical real-time monitoring of patients across hospital care areas.
The Sr. Staff Software Architect is a critical and highly visible role within MDH. This role is responsible for owning the design & implementation of features / functionality, working closely with scrum team for timely delivery with quality. Demonstrates deep understanding of software design & development.

Your Day at GE:
Establish long-term architecture vision for the product line considering end user scenarios, functional and nonfunctional requirements.
Accountable for architecture spikes, epics and features including ‘Definition of ready’
Owns technical design review rigor for the product line, ensure design quality and integrity
Evangelize architecture and design with leadership and scrum teams. Collaborate with scrum teams to ensure implementation is as expected.
Establish process and metrics to measure software quality
Implement critical components or logic for the product
With a platform mindset, ensure the design and implementation results in a reusable software asset, aligned to the big picture
Coach and mentor scrum team members
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in software development
A minimum of 8 years of hands on experience in software development covering full stack (Angular, React, HTML5/JS, CSS, Redux, Type Script, Ionics/Cordova, TDD/BDD, Spring, REST, Docker, Java/Node, SQL/NoSQL)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
Excellent knowledge with development tools & integrated build systems: Eclipse IDE, Git/Jenkins/Maven
Exposure to BDD/ TDD practices
Experience in Enterprise Architecture, architecture / design patterns
Experience in Cloud / Fog computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Experience of driving activities to influence code quality and process rigor
Experience with OpenStack technologies, deployment and configuration
Experience in Healthcare domain
Experience as Software Architect or System Architect or Solution Architect for product line
Experience with database, query and performance optimization and database design
Enthusiastically follow technology trends, software engineering best practice and technologies while enjoying the challenge of solving complex problems
Strong Debugging and Troubleshooting Expertise
