Job Description Summary

This position provides IT support for the accurate/compliant delivery & accounting of US Pay & Benefits. The hallmark of our team is our ability to effectively enhance the systems that support GE's complex/dynamic Pay & Benefit offerings. These enhancements allow for significant savings to the GE Company as well as provide for improved services to GE employees. We provide support for the following functions: Benefits, Finance, Leave, Payroll, Pension, and Taxation/Banking.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with solutions architects, technical architects, product owners and other Salesforce/CPQ developers to solve technical challenges, while demonstrating technical standard methodologies and solution patterns for the Apttus CPQ platform.

  • Review and advise on Apttus CPQ platform solutions to ensure they follow leading architecture and development practices, align to internal integration patterns and practices, align to internal security and compliance needs, and adhere to CPQ program architecture guiding principles.

  • Work with functional leads to transform and develop new requirements from design till implementation.

  • Advise and mentor diverse teams, which may include customer and partner resources providing mentorship on application development standard methodologies as well as technical product assistance.

  • Promotes the enterprise architecture process, outcomes and results. Participates in the design of systems and understands the opportunity for reuse. Uses development software and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components.

  • Create and maintain an open, inclusive work environment for the direct or extended team.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.

  • 8+ years working with the Salesforce platform, working in Lightning/Communities, APEX class / coding, Custom coding, Process Builder, Triggers, Visualforce, Workflows, CSS, HTML, Templates and Web Services.

  • Strong hands on Expertise in Apex programming, Visual Force, Triggers, LWC, Data Modeling, Jquery, Angular.js and other Java script frameworks.

  • Deep understanding of Apttus CPQ architecture, data model and Apttus CPQ certifications is a plus

  • Strong hands on Experience customizing Apttus CPQ application using Apttus config settings, product modelling, OOB callback class, OOB API’s and the integration aspects with other platforms

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to deliver clear messages, presenting with impact and adjusting messages to the audience. Creates clear written communication.

  • 8+ years of Salesforce/Apttus CPQ development and implementation experience across Sales, Service, CPQ and Community cloud

  • At least 2 full life-cycle Salesforce/Apttus CPQ implementations

  • Experience in acting as lead developer for diverse teams

  • In depth understanding of Salesforce & Apttus CPQ platform capabilities and limitations

  • Experience in product modeling and can construct catalogue that simplifies the sales experience (commercial catalogue)

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of cross functional and cross vendor teams and effectively balance and prioritize multiple projects concurrently

  • Excellent communication skills, equally comfortable with crafting emails as leading a white-board discussion with customers or delivering a technical presentation

  • Self-starter, adept at picking up new skills and technologies, and eager to break new ground.
