Job Description Summary

The Ultrasound Digital team is seeking a full-time Sr. DevOps Manger responsible for handling technical problems and driving technical excellence at all levels, working with senior management to support execution of the organization's vision. The ideal candidate act as a bridge between the development team and the Operations team,understands technology deeply at both the development level and at the deployment level, understands where the gaps often are between these two, and is excited about filling those gaps and taking proactive steps to prevent application emergencies from ever happening to meet customer experience expectations, service level agreements (SLAs) and other business requirements. The Sr. DevOps Manager will join the Ultrasound Digital Solutions team to help drive the DevOps transformation for multiple digital products and development/operations teams. This role will drive the DevOps Platform architecture that is used to build, automatically test, and release. The role also contributes to improve DevOps KPIs on code quality & security, test automation, coverage, traceability, and CI/CD/CT(Continuous integration, Continuous delivery, Continuous testing)

Job Description

In this role you will require to:-

  • Work closely with product teams to find the right tradeoff between the business-specific needs and state-of-the-art CI/CD/CT(Continuous integration, Continuous delivery, Continuous testing) best practices.

  • Lead the effort to implement a modern CI (Continuous integration) /CD (continuous delivery) /CT (continuous testing) pipeline working closely with development teams on troubleshooting potential deployment issues.

  • Taking into consideration existing system inter-dependencies and regulatory aspects necessary for compliance to the GE Healthcare quality management system.

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to implementation teams while working in a coordinated manner to define reliability goals and deliver and deploy the designed architecture and support post release monitoring and ongoing monitoring to achieve reliability goals and action plans to address any issues if one of the goals is at risk..

  • Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry, and market trends including ROI(return on investment) evaluations, present and future implications, limitations, and opportunities.

  • Exercise broadly delegated authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing both routine and complex technical operations.

  • Display technical leadership and accountability for all aspects of deployment and technical operations including technical project resources (partners/subcontractors or staff), scheduling, risk management, internal/external communications and escalations, status reporting, and resource management (internal and partners).

  • Continuously assess maturity of CloudOps, gain visibility, and integrate with custom enterprise workflows for efficient cloud operations.

  • Influence roadmaps and participate in planning/prioritization activities, coordinate work across multiple development teams.

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree(master preferred) in computer science or related field.

  • Minimum 10+years of experience in software development, release,and operations.Requirements' to succeed:

  • Technical Expertise Minimum 5years of DevOps Management.

  • Deep technical understanding of the intersection of development and operations (DevOps), monitoring and management tools, and deployment processes and tools.

  • Technical understanding of full stack application development.

  • Minimum 5 years with AWS(Amazon web Services), Azure clouds, and native DevOps deployment pipelines.

  • Experience with cloud services management which include cloud observability, consumption, compliance, and cost.

  • Minimum of 5 years -design and implementation of CI (Continuous integration)/CD (continuous delivery)/CT (continuous testing)pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, GitLab, Gradle, Maven, Conan, Sonarn Qube, Valgrind, Artifactory, Selenium, Squish, Junit, etc.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience writing automation scripts using scripting languages such as Groovy, shell scripting (Bash, Powershell), Python or Ruby.

  • Strong knowledge in Networking (TCP/IP(Transmission control protocol/Internet Protocol), WINS( Windows Internet Name Service ) , DNS(Domain Name System ), NFS(Network file system), SSH(Secure Shell) DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol

  • In-depth knowledge of technology trends and standards, both from business and technical viewpoints.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience installing operating systems, installing software application and troubleshooting on both Linux and Windows operating system's.Personal & Leadership Skills

  • Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; is aware of business priorities and organizational dynamics, understanding people's roles, foresees obstacles, identifies proactively workarounds, by leveraging given resources and rally teammates.

  • Out of the box thinker who would leverage expertise to solve complex technical problems ability to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints.

  • A track record as a coach, mentor, and developer of talent.

  • Demonstrated ability in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, project management, and conflict management.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills, and ability to achieve results with strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, both personally and at a team level.
