Job Description Summary

Responsible for the design and development of Master data Management solutions in support of one or more GE Corporate EPM Hyperion, ERP or custom application platforms. Partners with our technical and functional teams to gather business requirements, design and implement solutions consistent with GE’s overall Corporate initiatives strategy, and identify simplification and standardization opportunities

Responsible for operations and production support for one or more GE Corporate EPM Hyperion DRM applications. Addtionally partner and work closely with Hyperion DevOps team members and Functional Business partners on EPM initiatives & serve as direct liaison to functional process owners.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as a developer for DRM enhancements and new application development

  • Shows deep understanding of key DRM functionalities during design and build phase based upon client requirements, including chart of accounts design, metadata hierarchies, design/build, reporting, attribute definition, data grid design/build, database administration, etc.

  • Partners with Corporate Finance functions to define business requirements and translate into technical requirements

  • Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding

  • Work closely with peers and keep engaging in a fast pace technical design and development team

  • Execute in a fast pace delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal

  • Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation

  • Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-GE Business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness

  • Work alongside other Hyperion support and development personnel on the Corporate EPM Shared Services team

  • Act as the escalation point for EPM DRM operational issues and questions

  • Proactively drive the prioritization and resource planning of IT work to support business objectives and key initiatives for Controllership & FP&A.

  • Keep abreast of new tools and technologies while taking part in the evaluation and recommendations for new or enhanced capabilities that could improve current platforms

  • Develop technical standards, documentation and knowledge transfer for operational support including the coordination of knowledge transfer to other team members

  • Complete root cause analysis of defects and implement controls to mitigate repetitive issues

  • Drive adherence to Financial & IT Compliance Enterprise Standards

  • Promote the company culture by encouraging open communication, teamwork and living of the GE Beliefs

  • Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-GE Business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Finance or other technical related fields (OR a minimum 5 years of relevant work experience)

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology delivering high impact technology solutions

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Oracle Hyperion (Specifically Data Relationship Management- DRM)

Desired Characteristics

  • Demonstrated experience in working with Oracle DRM Master Data Management tool or other MDM tools

  • Experience in developing with one programming language – Javascript, Python, Java, Kotlin, Groovy, Rest APIs

  • Important or Essential : Oracle SQL Database programming experience
