Job Description Summary
As part of the senior technical leadership team at Imaging Business, the Senior Software Architect contributes to the mission of the software function by leading teams on delivery of quality products, innovation and development of team capabilities.
In this role you will lead the software development for User Interface and Application workflow in line with the roadmap for developing best-in-class medical devices software. The role requires engagement with internal stakeholders and 3rd party partners. Developing future software architects and engineers is expected.

Understand the current architecture of the product and develop solutions for the new products
Drive alignment of architecture and design with specifications of the product(s). Deliver accordingly.
Lead teams technically to deliver against plans enabled by a strong understanding of system architecture, Software architecture, Software platforms and the underlying technologies.
Ensure software delivered is compliant to Industry/GE Quality, regulatory and security standards.
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.
Mentor and coach architects, technical leads and developers in developing/improving their technical competencies.
Identify and report quality or compliance concerns and drive corrective action as required.
Champion continuous improvement activities about software quality and competence development
Desired Technical skills / experience:
Experience with strategic thinking for technology, software platforms, user experience and competence resulting in development of road map(s).
Experience with common software program deliveries (Cadence) in Agile context
Expertise in User Interface technologies, frameworks, Design modelling tools and techniques
Experience in working with Micro services, SOA, UI tech stack, enterprise technologies (Cloud), DevOps on Linux platform
Hands on experience with Web/HTML5/Angular, REST, Docker, Java/Node, SQL/NoSQL.
Expertise in building enterprise level web applications (Kiosk and Non-Kiosk mode)
Expertise in building testing strategies and test automation tools
Awareness of security/privacy control concepts
Experience with SAFe/ Agile methodologies for software development
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
15+ years’ experience in leading software teams and developing them into high performing units
At the least, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Industry-recognized certifications (e.g. TOGAF).
