Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Lead design & development for new and existing business products on the SFDC platform including: Core commercial CRM backbone, Salesforce customer communities and external identity management and Lightning/ LWC migration.

  • Develop platform capabilities to be added in line with the business needs of the commercial organisation

  • Responsible for designing, coding, developing, integrating and implementing enhancements to the Salesforce system.

  • Analyse salesforce release roadmap and align solution capabilities release for the business.

  • Understand and manage design of integration interactions of the overall commercial applications ecosystem like Marketo, Salesforce, Apttus, MyProjects, Customer Identity, Pega and others like ERP and Service systems.

  • Own design and coding standards governance by enforcement of architectural, design patterns and coding best practices across the various pods working on salesforce and closely coupled commercial applications.

  • Analyse current platform, processes in it and drive strategy for process simplification, reduce customisations and take out technical debts.

  • Mentor and coach the developers on architecture, APEX design patterns and coding best practices with minimal to no customisations

  • Work closely with the architects, admin and devops team on establishing / improving the right development, version management, code quality, test automation, deployment and release management framework l.

  • Collaborate closely with Program management on schedule, prioritisation, release planning and risk management.

  • Hands on development of project and delivery platforms with reusable components across teams that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses.

  • Actively engage and drive the agile development rituals and operating mechanisms

  • Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.

  • Gather and analyze data and develops architectural requirements at project level.

  • Participate in the Enterprise Architecture governance model.

  • Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities..

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.

Desired CharacteristicsTechnical Expertise:

  • 6-9 years of IT experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Analysis, Design, Development and Maintenance of Applications on SFDC Force.com platform.

  • Expertise in LWC/ Lightning Experience, core salesforce CRM, APEX Design patterns, coding, configuration and administration.

  • Exposure to Salesforce High Velocity Sales, Salesforce Customer communities and identity

  • Ability to consult customer on alignment of outcomes and desired technical solutions at an enterprise level

  • Ability to Analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.

  • Working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost implications; Experience with complex solution configurations.

  • Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.

  • Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases (planning, implementation, steady state, de-commissioning); Ability to provision and budget via capital and operating.

  • Able to lead early stage stakeholder interactions; Guide as they develop confidence and comfort with approaches, and integrate with their legacy tech investments.

  • Expertise in Salesforce platform and its implementation for sales enablement.

  • Exposure in implementing single-sign-on on salesforce and its usage in communities.

  • Add advantage if you have Exposure to Apttus CPQ and Heroku platforms

Business Acumen:

  • Passionate and Deep domain understanding of the inquiry to order (ITO) processes right from lead generation, opportunity management, enterprise account management, funnel forecasting to configuration, pricing and quotation.

  • Added advantage if experience in configurable hi-tech manufacturing industry

  • Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; understanding people's roles, can foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources and rally teammates.

  • Understand how internal and/or external business model works and facilitate active customer engagement

  • Able to articulate the value of what is most important to the business/customer to achieve outcomes

  • Able to produce functional area information in sufficient detail for cross-functional teams to utilize, using presentation and storytelling concepts.

  • Possess extensive knowledge of full solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing each area at an advanced level.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent quality certification

Leadership :

  • Exposure to presenting with impact to drive the right buy in on design, solutions and issues.

  • Foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, rally teammates.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels

  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills

  • Ability to influence and build consensus with other Business, Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership
