General Electric Project Leader in Bengaluru, India

Role Summary:Project Leader functions as a technical compliance liaison with the Engineering, Product Manager, Sales & Marketing and Regional RA teams and coordinates the activities of Wireless registration with Third-party companies to ensure that the products meet the regulatory approvals and license requirements required for all assisted projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage the telecommunication (WiFi, UWB, RF and Bluetooth) compliance requirements for X-Ray products at International, National and local levels in all phases of a project

  • Provide clear directions and support to Engineering, Product Manager, Sales and manufacturing teams in meeting all the telecommunication compliance & regulatory requirements for the products.

  • Work with third party companies & Regional Regulatory Authorities to establish implementation plans as needed to achieve and maintain product regulatory compliance in line with Product Management & Marketing priorities.

  • Capable of evaluating the system and sub-system impacts based on the regulations

  • Maintain the compliance documentation ensuring the correctness.

  • Understand the regulatory requirement of different countries.

  • Identifying emerging compliance trends, or related regulatory and policy issues that may impact the business compliance readiness and to make appropriate recommendations for the products.

  • Maintenance of shipping matrix for X-Ray products with cross functional interaction

Qualifications/Requirements:Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university

Minimum 4+ years of Industry experience

Exposure to generally accepted standards like WiFi, UWB, Bluetooth etc

Required Leadership values - Team orientation, customer focus, organization, communication, problem solving.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Engineering from an accredited College or University.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with cross functional teams, management and front line associates.

  • Previous experience working with or for notified body or compliance regulatory agency.

  • Working knowledge of product certification schemes and global regulatory compliance organizations

  • Working experience of international, national and local codes and standards.

  • Work experience with cross functional teams with excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted codes, standards, and approvals related to IEC, CSA, NFPA, UL etc

  • Ability to interface with regulators/regulatory agencies as demanded by the job.

  • Knowledge of Medical devices
