Job Description Summary
The Lead Engineer demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will provide leadership in a cross functional team developing analytic products for aircraft engine components. You will have exposure to large datasets, big data pattern recognition, signals
detection, clusters identifications and transforming field data into actionable information about engine field capability by developing, deploying and maintaining physics based analytic models.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Work in a cross functional team and develop physics based analytic models by using engine operation data and leveraging state of the art modeling technique.
Execute the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects (around engine operational severity, supporting root cause investigations, and novel ways to predict and limit future occurrences) that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements.
Prepare reports and present in technical and program reviews within the organization. Help to monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate.
Properly document technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Demonstrate a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning or related field plus minimum 4 year of analytics development experience
Experience in analytics development in airline/automobile/oil & gas/similar industries Experience in the use of Python/R/MATLAB SQL and/or other analytic software tools or languages
Experience in data cleansing, data quality assessment, and using analytics for solving business problems
Experience in the use of applied analytics, descriptive statistics, feature extraction and predictive analytics on industrial datasets
Experience in data visualization and storytelling for an audience of stakeholders
Demonstrated project management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Characteristics
Masters or PhD degree in Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning or related field
Experience of working on aircraft engine components
