Job Description Summary
The person in this role will manage the Gas Turbine Conversion, Modification & Uprate (CM&U) jobs ensuring the project is completed on schedule, within budget, no quality misses and with customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities
Owns and Manages the deliverables of the OTR team from a techno-commercial standpoint to ensure flawless Project execution.
Strategic partner to Project Managers & Customer Performance Managers, managing and delivering on customer requirements.
Systems thinker - Able to understand, adapt and anticipate the relationships of major equipment inside a combined cycle power plant.
Provide technical coordination for conversions, modifications, and uprates on in-service Gas Turbines, including unit relocations.
Drives to deliver on time, quality inputs, for all assigned projects during OTR phase
Support the Digital Thread team of ARES to develop tools, processes and practices aimed to drive measurable improvement in cost, productivity, quality and reliability.
Provide wing to wing support for proposals and projects from inquiry to remittance (ITR). Aligns the ITO customer wants with OTR scope and gets it clarified with commercial, PMO and CPM.
Develop and monitor engineering project schedules.
Actively communicates all contract and project requirements to EED design functions, utilizing internal documentation systems
Communicate project scope to Engineering / Manufacturing / Sourcing / Field Service / Service Shop Personnel.
Make technical presentations to customers and other GE functions.
Provide technical assistance to field service personnel during Project Installation.
Support team priorities for engineering productivity and parts productivity.
Promote, participate in and lead process improvement projects.
Ensure timely completion of all project objectives.
Champion LEAN principles and embrace LEAN, continuously challenge and improve internal processes in OTR engineering organization.
Controls Engineering experience or GT Controls upgrade project management experience on GE heavy duty Gas Turbines B/E, F or H class frames
Qualifications/Requirements
B.Tech/M.Tech Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation & Controls Aerospace Engineering from Institute of repute
12+ years’ experience in engineering or as field engineer on gas turbines-based power plant
Strong understanding of gas turbines with at least 2+ years of project engineering experience.
Global mindset with a willingness to understand different cultures and work collaboratively
Effective time management skills & multitasking ability.
Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills
Willingness to travel on short notice
Desired Characteristics
Field experience experience on GE heavy duty Gas Turbines B/E, F or H class frames
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Customer interface experience
BB / Green Belt certification (GE only)
Experience of leading Lean PSR, VSM and Kaizen work outs and projects
