Job Description Summary
Contract Margin Reviews (CMRs) are an annual process where the margin rate used in booking revenue for Customized Service Agreements (CSAs) is refreshed to incorporate latest intelligence. The Lead CMR Project Leader is responsible for leading the entire Contract Margin Review process for their assigned CSA contracts, including operating and understanding the technical modeling, collaborating with a cross-functional team, and ensuring deliverable timelines are met. They provide financial leadership and controllership for margin, including analysis of contract forecast and trends to drive timely margin improvement actions, and analysis of risks and opportunities. This role is a great opportunity for analytical project managers to learn the Aviation Services business, grow a broad network across the business, and further develop leadership and communication skills.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
As the Lead CMR Project Leader, you will:
Execute & audit the technical modeling for assigned contracts as part of the CMR & Technical/Commercial Actions.
Engage horizontally with Customer Program Manager, Finance, Engineering, Risk, Sales and Product Line Lead to continuously identify risks, opportunities and Technical/Commercial Action pipeline to increase contract profitability.
Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical model along with understanding of financial impact to the contract margin.
Perform detailed Actualization root cause analysis and explain in a clear concise manner.
Identify contract Leading Indicators of pressure, share with broader team and work to develop risk mitigation plans.
Complete Commercial/technical action modeling and strategic view/impact in a timely fashion meeting business needs.
Provide informal guidance to new team members.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years professional work experience in Engineering section
