General Electric Lead CFD Analyst in Bengaluru, India
The BHGE Oil Field Equipment (OFE) Subsea Production Systems (SPS) team at Bangalore is currently seeking an experienced CFD Analyst to strengthen the Global Flow Assurance team. He/She will be involved in executing all kinds of flow assurance activities, 1D and 3D numerical fluid-flow including thermal, multi-phase flow and erosion simulations of Subsea components and systems applications using ANSYS CFX / ICEM /OLGA and other tools.
CAD model review and de-featuring to discretize the CFD models for Thermal analysis of Subsea Chrismax Tree, Manifolds and Connection Systems and develop representative models.
CAD import and integration in CFD analysis chain, CAD Buildup and Repair for Meshing, Structured Multiblock and Unstructured Grid Generation
Generation of mesh for CAD model with the help of ICEM CFD mesher including Grid sensitivity.
CFD simulation and Numerical Study of Flow and optimization of distribution with strong awareness of solvers and solution routines.
Assist in FEED field development studies, tenders and EPC projects through quick analysis and hand calculations.
Be responsible for evaluation and reporting of fluid flow simulation results working with the Flow Assurance Seniors and Chief Engineer.
Drive advanced solutions for our customer projects, for new technologies and products.
Promote and ensure compliance to EHS and Quality at all times
Plan execution, manage and mitigate risks, deliver results within stipulated and agreed timeframes
Collaborate with Systems, EPC, Project Management teams as necessary.
Drive standardization, Design Re-use and Simplification as a culture
Masters degree in Thermal Sciences /Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline with 5-10 years of relevant work experience
Strong experience working as CFD analyst in the O&G /Power /Aerospace domains
Deep knowledge of commercial flow Assurance and CFD software packages such as Olga, CFX or/and Fluent and ANSYS FEA-Thermal solvers.
Experiences in using computation mesh generation software, such as ICEM, ANSYS Design Modeler, etc and pre processor CAD packages such as Unigraphics /Pro-E
Fluent English in oral and written, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
Goal oriented; used to producing high quality results to tight deadlines – on time quality delivery.
Comfortable presenting technical study results to customers
Strong academic background especially in theoretical disciplines Fluid dynamics/ Multiphase Flows / Heat Transfer / Erosion Modeling
Experience handling large model assemblies and solutions in a High Performance Cluster system.
CFD simulations including Compressible, incompressible, steady, unsteady flows, heat transfer, conjugate heat transfer, turbulence modeling, and multiphase modeling
Work experiences with alternative flow assurance software such as LedaFlow, Multiflash and HYSYS, or other solvers used for multiphase / FA modeling
Understanding of the oil and gas industry and the requirements for reliable and robust solutions for industrial applications, and Subsea industry.
