Job Description Summary

The HR Data and Analytics team at GE is a dynamic and exciting place to grow your technical career. The Developer will work with large data sets in a complex warehouse and analytics tools environment. The Developer will get the opportunity to work hands-on with our architects and business partners to design, develop, and implement data visualizations using various ETL, OLAP tools. Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Work with architects, develop technical design specifications and validate approach during internal reviews.

  • Hands on Informatica and procedures using PLSQL.

  • Hands on Business Objects including objects and universe design

  • Build Data models & Data warehouse to support and enhance current data model/sources

  • Perform unit testing and system integration testing in development environment

  • Coordinate and validate code movement between DEV/STAGE/Prod.

  • Integration and knowledge transfer with the support organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent (STEM) with minimum 3 years of experience as data engineer is must.

  • 3-7 years of experience in Data Warehousing or BI.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in data warehouse concepts, Data modelling.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in ETL(Informatica/Talend/BODI/S) or related tools.

  • A minimum of 2 year of experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL,

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience using Unix/Python Scripting.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Tableau, cloud concepts with Azure/AWS knowledge are preferred.

  • Experience in HR analytics Domain is preferred.

  • Knowledge of working in an iterative manner (in the spirit of Agile/SCRUM/Kanban methodologies)

  • Willingness to learn technical concepts and drive efficiency within team

  • Ability to balance stakeholders, priorities and to communicate with stakeholders where there are conflicts.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Understands Lean/Kaizen Concepts.
