Job Description Summary

The Advanced Lead Engineer- Fleet Management demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will lead product design & development of new product to ensure it meets requirements and expectations, executed to the highest standards, meeting project milestones within the established timeline. You will be a lead member of the program team, working with a highly qualified multi-disciplinary development team.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the project plans following Product design process.

  • Develop and maintain a product architecture which supports the multi-year product plan, as development progresses.

  • Collaborate & effectively communicate with Mission based teams across organizations and vendors to meet the specification & project requirements.

  • Collaborate with Product and Customer facing team in the organizations and lead with appropriate technical and project reviews.

  • Support the development of plans for R&D to support multi-year objectives across multiple related product developments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

  • 7+ years’ experience in Product Design working with design & research team.

  • Experience in design leaders with project members under guidance and leadership.

  • Experience in developing electromechanical/mechanical products involving mechanical mechanisms design.

  • Familiarity with a broad range of mechanical and electronic product manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s Degree/Ph.D in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Robotics Engineering

  • Experience with New Product Development process from concept stages to product launch.

  • Familiarity with electronic product definition methods and standards.

  • Exposure to supplier/vendor management.

  • Experience in developing miniatured electromechanical products.

  • Exposure to defining work packages for, and contract management of, subcontract design and manufacturing efforts.
