Job Description Summary
Recognized as an executive level expert, leads a very complex manufacturing operation, regularly influences senior management, and develops and implement system-wide strategic business plans for their manufacturing plant. Position is responsible for leading plant-manufacturing operations and meeting all operational defined targets such as quality, cost, delivery and safety.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities :
• Provide leadership and strategy to ensure the success of the facility.
• Driving operations team towards execution of Business Goals using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodology
• Provide development of plant staff to guide production and support teams
• Work with customers, product managers, functional leaders, and internal staff to meet production requirements
• Lead the establishment and attainment of goals for factory in safety, compliance, lean transformation, quality, schedule and cost
• Work with cross functional teams to establish the appropriate conditions to effectively meet long and near term product line goals
• Establish and maintain the plant vision for success
• Facilitate the leadership team in strategic decision making and problem solving
• Develop and track expense and investment budgets
• Establish and adjust an organizational structure that best supports the value stream and individual plants goals and measurements
• Engage all employees, driving for continuous improvement through lean and effective counter measures, root cause analysis and six sigma levels of quality
• Maintain constructive relations with employee representatives
• Drive performance and provide coaching and development to all members of the management team.
• Foster a compliant and safe working environment that promotes transparent engagement and open reporting across all levels of the organization.
• Ensuring sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments per the plan
Qualifications/Requirements :
• BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Demonstrable track record in leadership roles in manufacturing, supply chain or operations
