Job Description Summary

General Electric needs an experienced control room shift manager for a hydroelectric power plant, located near Kibbutz Neve Or in the north of the Beit Shean Valley.

A unique hydro-electric power plant in the Gilboa area needs a shift manager for the control room.

The position includes managing a team of operators, monitoring and controlling the electricity production process and the various systems, handling current faults and supporting preventive maintenance processes. In addition, the position includes ongoing dealings with the station's management and the supervision of IEC (Noga) as well as managing an activity diary and producing regular reports.

Job Description

As part of the job:

• Responsibility for the integrity of the control systems, electricity, surrounding equipment, safety equipment, various systems at the station.

• Carrying out surveillance routines in the field / checklist for surrounding equipment.

• Ongoing support for the station's activities, supervision of operational integrity and optimal serviceability of the station's systems, reliability tests, planning and execution of preventive care and ongoing maintenance of equipment in front of the maintenance parties, and safety in accordance with the station's availability plan.

• Locating, analyzing and solving system faults.

• Writing work procedures and implementing them.

• Managing a team of operators

• Communication and coordination of work regime and compliance with availability goals with Nega (HAI).

Requirements:

• Engineer or electrical/machinery/instrument and control engineer;

• 3-5 years of experience working in a control room in an industrial/production environment including working in shifts;

• Previous experience working in an international company - a significant advantage;

• Experience with software - DCS/ HMI, SCADA - a significant advantage;

• English at a high level in speaking and writing - mandatory;

• Work in shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays;

• Management skills, good human relations, teamwork;

• Ability to make decisions and work under pressure;

• Experience working in an office environment.
