Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Q-EHS Lead to join the new Kokhav Hayarden O&M located in Israel (Emek Beit Shaan).

As the Q-EHS Lead you shall be responsible for managing the team and all EHS and quality activities in the power station, including building, implementing and maintaining the station’s safety organization, performing risk analysis, training of personnel and sub-contractors, preparation for quality and safety audits, all in accordance with contractual requirements, GE processes, EHS instructions and country regulations.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Member of the station management.

  • Building and implementation of the safety and quality management plan on the site, while complying with the requirements of the law, statutory regulations and company procedures, including the risk assessment surveys, professional mentoring of team members investigation of incidents, etc.

  • Partnership in leading, implementing, assimilating, and controlling the company's safety and quality processes and policies.

  • Training and monitoring of safety and quality issues, including training of employees, managers, and subcontractors.

  • Defining relevant metrics and objectives for examining the application and effectiveness of the safety and performance system, as well as analyzing trends and exceptional events.

  • Building and control of the LOTO locking processes, including the issuance of work permits and enforcement of access to active / alert areas.

  • Taking proactive measures to prevent work accidents, while complying with the requirements of law and the company's standards.

  • Treatment of safety hazards, their investigation, reporting and prevention of recurrence.

  • Responsibility for performing incident analysis for work accidents or near misses, preparing “lesson learned” for the organization and preparing reports for the relevant parties.

  • Accompanying all station departments in regulatory audits, including editing and active participation in the audits, and implementing the conclusions raised in the audits

  • Ongoing work with authorities, the station management and the company's safety system abroad.

  • Work in a computerized maintenance system (maintenance management software - CMMS).


  • Israeli Safety Supervisor certification.

  • Previous experience of at least 5 years in the fields of quality and safety. preferably in an industrial environment .

  • Previous work experience in an international company - a significant advantage.

  • High level written and oral English and Hebrew, including ability to deliver tutorials in English.

  • Ability to lead processes and projects independently.

  • self-learning capabilities.

  • Ability to work in a team and interact with various stockholders within GE and externally.

  • Initiative, assertiveness, and able to lead processes.

  • Organized and detail oriented

  • Willingness to combine fieldwork with office work.

  • Full control of office software in general and Excel in particular.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Full-time position, ability to work nights and weekends in case of emergencies .
