Role Summary:

This is a cross-functional discipline and considers the technical needs of business/customers to build quality products. Design and optimize requirements to define the system and verify they are executed from concept to operation.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Working with across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement technology solutions on NPI, VCP, IB and manufacturing productivity programs for X-ray Detector / CT Detector.

  • Providing domain expertise to serve as the main system integrator together with electrical, mechanical, software, reliability, manufacturing team to deliver the best high-quality product.

  • Developing methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on image quality.

  • Delivering and incorporating feedback results into new image quality, hardware, software and service specifications.

  • Leverages knowledge in advanced aspects of technical/functional areas and applies technical theory and practical experience with input from relevant functional areas to solve complex problems.

  • Works independently and possesses a level of functional expertise necessary to influence and execute technical and project delivery execution.

Quality Specific Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.

  • Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.


  • MS or PhD in Electronics Engineering, Image Processing, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Math or closely related discipline.

  • Proficient in the use of software tools for analysis and simulation (Matlab, etc)

  • Broad exposure to HW/SW/System Design, and technical depth in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, etc).

  • Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task.

  • Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems.

  • Strong sense of ownership, demonstrated problem-solving techniques.

  • Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Chinese and English, and global project experience.
