Job Description Summary
Responsibility for the quality of a/or multiple product lines driving product process and quality improvements. Overseeing and providing technical guidance to internal customers, team members, and stakeholders. Direct quality support to dedicated product lines with the objective to improve FTY and reduce losses. Interface with the customer where required and support all quality and continuous improvement activity. The Quality Technician will ensure that projects and products are capable and will meet specified standards. This is an off shift position and will be very self directed supporting multiple plants. Applicant must be able to travel between plants within a 2 mile radius.
Owner of Quality requirements for assigned processes and product initiatives supporting all applicable functional teams
Ownership of root cause identification corrective actions mitigating risk opportunities
Process and product audits and first article inspection for assigned product line
Identification of opportunities for improvement projects
Support customer communication on appointed product line
Reporting of issues to leadership on a given basis
Definition of quality control and inspection plans
Provide training on production quality and inspection procedures
Make data based decisions to drive improvements
Perform RCCA using established problem solving tools
Perform audits as required
Lead key elements in all stages of APQP/PPAP elements
- High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years manufacturing experience
