Job Description Summary

Project Management/ Planning/ Coordinating activities typically in the context of a production or services project to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Uptower Repair Project Manager will have, execute and deliver strategic and operational project across European service organization. The UTR Project Manager is accountable for safety, quality, lead time, costs during project execution. For transaction projects, the project Manager will also have to support commercial team during ITO phase, and follow up with the customer and internally after project execution to assure supplier payment and revenue recognition.The type of projects that could be assigned to the project managers could be:

  • Major Field Repair Campaign

  • Uptower Repair with impact all over a significant fleet.

The Project Manager will report to the Blade and Uptower Repair Leader.

Essential Responsibilities:

Once project has been assigned, agree with Field Operations and Sub regions on goals and objectives, metrics and deliverables. Select the contractors with sourcing and the sub regions. Drive the preparation phase including safety plan, project cost estimate, project planning, required resource and organization, coordination and alignment of all external parties and internal functions risks and opportunities. Build the required team and kick off the project with all stakeholders. Drive the project execution with the strongest focus on Safety, On Time Delivery, Quality and Cost. Constantly monitor and reports project progress, key performance indicators (KPI), risk and opportunities of the project. Take all necessary actions and decisions to guarantee safety, quality, financial, time, performance to maximize his project scope’s goals achievements. Support the Service Operation Teams for external communication around the project (Client) Once the project has been completed, coordinate the handover of Sites/Deliveries/Actions necessaries to the Operation teams for a smooth transition. Build up the project report including actual planning and costs, control and approve supplier invoices, coordinate internal cost liquidations and release invoices to the clients for transactional. Build the customer report if necessary. Run a project lesson learn exercise with the stakeholders for continuous improvement in project execution.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires advanced experience in the Services & Services Project Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • EU Work Permit

Desired Characteristics

  • Mechanical & Electrical engineering background

  • Multi experience in project management/coordination with successful results.

  • Comfortable with processes and reporting.

  • Experience in wind business from a turbine manufacturer perspective highly recommended

  • Experience in project involving complex repair highly recommended

  • Ability to communicate effectively across a diverse audience.

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Fluent in English.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
