Job Description Summary
Will coordinate all the activities for the procurement of the Towers of the wind turbines between tower suppliers, sub-suppliers, engineering, quality, PMO.
Will be the main tower supplier contact (PO placement, production follow up, issue solving) to deliver on time and at the required quality (included documentation) to our customer.
Roles and responsibilities
Place the PO to the Tower suppliers, manage PO acknowledgement, set up operation rhythm with the suppliers to monitor on time deliveries, manage nonconformity detected at supplier, manage design issue the suppliers detected, manage invoicing issues.
In this roles the procurement project specialist has to go deeper with the supplier on all the aspect which could impact the OTD:
Follow up of the raw material are placed on time / qualified/quality issues/promised date on time and put in place mitigation plan with the supplier in case of issues detected
Be sure the supplier define/procure the necessary tooling on time
Be sure with the help of the SPL the supplier has enough capacity to produce the total volume on time
Make a weekly reporting to the management on the key issues + LOB
Help the tower supplier to manage missing material: (help on the qualification coordination with SQE, priority conflict with other GE orders)
Be aware of all the quality issues which impact the OTD of material deliveries
Perfom risk management to minimize project risks
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
A good knowledge of the supply chain (procurement, capacity management, ERP knowledge)
Have an experience of project management
Be able to open and to understand the key point of an engineering specification or a drawing)
Very good communication skill (written + oral)
Demonstrated Leadership skill. Be able to influence / energize the other
