Job Description Summary
The Senior product manager will be ultimately be responsible for the successful development, commercialization, and implementation of Haliade-X products. In the role the product manager will engage with all functions with the Offshore Wind Business, as well as suppliers and customers. The product manager cross-functionally leads the product development through the process and is ultimately responsible for achieving all product requirements.
As part of this role, the product manager will interact with senior management within GE’s organization as well as the required functional levels, in order to develop a competitive and profitable product.

Roles and Responsibilities
Be accountable for the successful development and commercialization of the assigned wind turbine models or features within the Offshore Business
Leads the product/features through the toll-gate process and ensures each function meets the deliverables and requirements defined in the new product introduction (NPI) process. Tracks program progress and status of KPIs/CTQs and reports out to senior management on a regular basis
Responsible for development and execution of a detailed cross-functional execution plan that leads to success on all product CTQs as specified in the product requirements
Work with the commercial team and customer value manager to successfully commercialize the products/features in the targeted regions
Work with the engineering teams and commercial teams to develop regional specific adaptations of the products
Ensures alignment with the cross-functional leaders and contributors towards the product requirements .
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions
Required Qualifications
Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree STEM or Business from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
Some experience in the wind industry
Strong work experience and relevant experience in product development (Product Management, engineering, and/or operations/program/project management, etc.)
Proven leadership skills and experience in interacting with senior management and leading large virtual teams
Experience in working and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Sales/ComOps, Marketing/Strategy, GSCM, transport/Installation/Commissioning & Engineering) to achieve desired targets
Proven analytical skill set & strategic mind-set, ability to quickly move from details to the holistic view and vice versa
Strong, self-directed, collaborative team player with interpersonal, communication, & presentation skills
Very strong communication / interpersonal skills, able to provide an environment of trust
Ability to prioritize and set challenging but realistic time schedules
Strong confidence with executive presentations; ability to communicate with colleagues & customers at all levels
Fluent in English (written & oral)
willingness and ability to travel 25% of the time
