Job Description Summary

As a member of the GE Offshore Quality team, the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) quality leader is a highly-motivated and meticulous individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Responsibilities focus on define, coordinate, facilitate and supervise the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process ensuring cross functional integration for non conformities resolution and actions definition to achieve Customer satisfaction.

The RCA quality leader is the owner of RCA process. He/she works closely with all the functions involved in the process (icluding Customers) building strong cross functional engagement to ensure an end to end approach to root cause analysis until the issue resolution and actions implementations respecting the defined timeline and targets.

RCA Quality Leader has proven expertise in the root cause analysis principles and disciplines as 8D, Problem solving tools and Six Sigma.

Job Description

Job description/ Main responsibilities

  • Define, coordinate and supervise the RCA end to end procedure and governance for GE OFW

  • Provide RCA support using performance improvement tools (i.e. process maps, ishikawa diagrams, 5W2H ) and methodology, in addition to project management support

  • Assist in driving cross-team initiatives

  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track and communicate status of RCA

  • Coordinate and ensure the right fulfillment of GE RCA tool (quality suite) and extract periodical reports and KPIs

  • Provide regular updates to the Management, RCA Teams and other business stakeholders, ensuring the team is informed of status updates of the root cause analysis.

  • Manage clear and consistent communication plan and strategies for internal and external Customers

  • Track and manage the cost of poor quality associated to the issues correlated to RCA

  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships within the business in order to obtain information and content from leaders to guarantee successful root cause analysis completion.

  • Develop and manage best-practices for improvement, plan execution, and project management.

  • Effectively communicate and provide RCA report/presentation for leaders and Customers if required

  • Work closely to Quality team and Head of Quality to ensure high quality and consistency on issue resolutions and trade off decisions for critical RCAs.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Wind experience

  • Root Cause Analysis/Common Cause Analysis experience, including use of Performance Improvement tools required

  • Proven track record of delivering measurable results

  • Experience with customer communications, particularly with product quality topics like RCAs

  • Availability to travel

  • Statistically literate and familiar with quality concepts and tools (Six-sigma BB, Lean, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to meet objectives by influencing and engaging others

  • Positive,clear thinking problem solver with strong quality mindset
