General Electric Program Manager Offshore Wind Generator - Active Parts in Barcelona, Spain

Role Summary:In this role, you will lead the preparation of the production start, qualification and ramp-up for generator poleshoes to meet commercial demand for the HaliadeX.

Vous dirigerez la préparation du démarrage, de la qualification et de l’accroissement de la production des pièces de générateur de l'haliade X.

Essential Responsibilities:-Develop innovative manufacturing processes, tools and machines in collaboration with suppliers and GE internalsizefunctions in order to secure HaliadeX pole shoe production ramp-up.

-Define, own and report KPI in order to meet Haliade X ramp-up requirements for safety, quality, lead time,cost, capacity.

-Apply Lean Manufacturing methodologies e.g. 7 ways, 3P, poka yok.

-Own and drive on time delivery, commissioning and qualification of the production equipment.

-Drive implementation of new technologies in the supply chain in order to reduce cost and lead time and improve quality for key components along value chain

-Understand component CTQs in collaboration with Engineering teams

-Identify risk and cost drivers in the manufacturing process and drive design for manufacturability with designsize Engineering teams.

-Develop tool and machine specifications in order to deliver best in class component quality.

-Work closely with machine and tool suppliers globally to create value maximizing technical solutions for GE.

-Generate and protect GE IP Work with GE experts, suppliers and 3parties to ensure full compliance with relevant safety,& regulatory and technical standards.

-Drive integration and optimization of supplier processes and GE internal processes for identified key technologies.

-Drive CapEx and component cost reduction.

-Collaborate with stakeholders across functions (Sourcing, SQE, AME, ME, Engineering, Service,others).

-Support manufacturingtechnology programs across renewable energy in as needed

-Present projects plans, technical road maps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders within technical space.


Développer des outils, machines et processus de fabrication innovants en collaboration avec les fournisseurs et les services internes de GE afin d'assurer l’accroissement de la production des pièces pour l’HaliadeX.

Définir et rendre compte des indicateurs clés de performance afin de répondre aux exigences de l’accroissement de l'HaliadeX en termes de sécurité, de qualité, de délais, de coûts et de capacité.

Appliquer les méthodologies du Lean Manufacturing.

Assurer la livraison, la mise en service et la qualification de l'équipement de production dans les délais.

Favoriser la mise en œuvre de nouvelles technologies dans la chaîne d'approvisionnement afin de réduire les coûts et les délais .

Identifier les facteurs de risque et de coût dans le processus de fabrication.

Développer les spécifications des outils et des machines afin d'obtenir des composants de la meilleure qualité,

Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les fournisseurs de machines et d'outils.

Qualifications/Requirements:Deep domain expertise in manufacturing processes for electrical machines (generators, motors, coils, VPI, coil winding).

Experience in design-to-cost.

Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Science, Technology/Innovation Management, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing, Engineering, technical program/project management experience in relevant industries.

Ability to travel internationally according to project need.

If contracted in Spain:

Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.

Diplôme d'ingénieur industriel, d'ingénierie avec expérience significative en fabrication, ingénierie, gestion de programmes/projets techniques dans les industries concernées.

Prior experience in Wind Industry, Manufacturing, or Sourcing

Six Sigma / Lean trained and demonstrated ability to use tools (GE Employees only)

Good understanding of WTG Products

OMLP/ EEDP / REDP Graduate (GE Employees only)

Excellente communication tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit

Expérience préalable dans l'industrie éolienne, la fabrication ou l'approvisionnement

Six Sigma/Lean et capacité démontrée à l’utilisation des outils (collaborateurs GE uniquement)
