General Electric Product Line Cost Leader in Barcelona, Spain
Role Summary:Drive improvements into performance of New Product Introduction Costing processes to improve profitability. Drive visibility into NPI Cost by establishing global costing process, improving current cost out mechanisms for new products and Engineering changes. Candidate should be an individual which understands GE business performance metrics, and possess a strong problem solving, financial and analytical acumen.
Essential Responsibilities:The candidate will work closely with Engineering, Sourcing and Product Line teams. Candidate should have a desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Develop and implement process for tracking engineering cost out and linking to financial estimates
Implement say / do ratio analysis on cost out project execution
Establish process to define NPI Costing on early development stages, improving quality of early development cost forecasts. Ensure global alignment of methodologies
Support Tollgate say/do ratio analysis on cost estimates to implement best practices on new product developments
Develop analytics to improve NPI product costing and Engineering product cost out efforts
Understand and be able to articulate intricacies of supply chain accounting dynamics such as NAO vs VOH, Standard cost, and FIFO for As Sold vs Executed Analysis support.
Interact with regional and functional teams to lead continuous improvement efforts around the process
Drive process improvement and simplify ways of working through process deep dives and leveraging technology/digitization.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with strong experience in Finance).
Relevant experience in Supply Chain or Supply Chain Finance experience; FMP or OMLP experience desired
Working knowledge of data analytics
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, particularly experienced in Excel
Desired experience with Engineering
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to influence others and lead project teams.
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
Effective problem identification and solution skills.
Proven analytical and organizational ability.
Good knowledge of key analytical tools e.g. Alteryx, Dataiku
Commercial knowledge of product cost and profitability analysis.
