The Welding Engineer has a comprehensive, in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles in the own part of the function, and strong knowledge of technical concepts in technologies that intersect with own technical space. In this role, you will maintain product quality review associated with the manufacturing process.
As the Welding Engineer, you will:
Own both quality assurance and quality control, including quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes, conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies, vested approaches and methods
Communicate across direct organization
Present to senior leaders in specific technical space / cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy
Connect the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions
Work on cross-functional projects / teams to deliver technology solutions for the business
Communicate across the function in area of expertise
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing OR related Military experience/training)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Quality
Level Three NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Certification (Or willingness to obtain certification)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
