General Electric Repairs Engineer in Bangor, Maine

Role Summary:

The Repairs Engineer supports project management, planning and coordinating activities, typically in the context of a production and/or services project, to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial / commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Repairs Engineer, you will:

  • Be responsible for the whole scope of site activities (site mobilization to final acceptance), acting under the direction and on behalf of the Project Director / Manager

  • Lead the site team and manage the execution of the Project scope of work

  • Establish and maintain performance metrics to measure program / project success

  • Install process excellence support for program / project governance, project reviews, etc.

  • Ensure that schedule, quality and cost are in compliance with contractual obligations, company policy and local regulations (includes management of OOEM sites and retrofit / upgrade projects)

  • Develop a year plan for own department and contribute to plan of larger unit

  • Be involved in discussions with other functions and teams about improvement in processes, procedures and ways of working

  • Communicates across direct organization

  • Present to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Services)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Retrofit / Upgrade and Site Management
