General Electric Repairs Engineer in Bangor, Maine
The Repairs Engineer supports project management, planning and coordinating activities, typically in the context of a production and/or services project, to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial / commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction.
As the Repairs Engineer, you will:
Be responsible for the whole scope of site activities (site mobilization to final acceptance), acting under the direction and on behalf of the Project Director / Manager
Lead the site team and manage the execution of the Project scope of work
Establish and maintain performance metrics to measure program / project success
Install process excellence support for program / project governance, project reviews, etc.
Ensure that schedule, quality and cost are in compliance with contractual obligations, company policy and local regulations (includes management of OOEM sites and retrofit / upgrade projects)
Develop a year plan for own department and contribute to plan of larger unit
Be involved in discussions with other functions and teams about improvement in processes, procedures and ways of working
Communicates across direct organization
Present to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Services)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Retrofit / Upgrade and Site Management
Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
