General Electric Project Quality Manager (m/f) in Baden, Switzerland
Role Summary:The project quality manager is responsible for ensuring quality within the project. This includes works undertaken by GE internally and the works of our suppliers, subcontractors and/or partners as required for the project. The objective is to comply with Customer requirements, regulatory & statutory requirements and GE requirements applicable to the products & services.
To ensure interface with the customer on all quality related subjects and coordinate quality related activities internally with all GE functions.
To support the Project Manager/Project Director for Project Quality management during project execution phase.
To ensure that the defined project quality objectives are achieved by measuring, auditing and by implementing necessary actions (through RCA, 8D, Lessons Learned) to resolve quality issues on the project.
To monitor and and report on Project Quality KPI’s on a regular basis.
To ensure project quality compliance to the contract, and local laws and regulations where necessary.
Sales & ITO Phase
Represent the company in terms of Quality in front of the customer and undertake all tasks in the preparation of the tender quality section.
Analyze and where necessary comment Customer Request for Quotation.
Negotiate project quality requirements with the Customer.
Issue the Quality section of the offer, including the Project Quality Plan and the applicable standard inspection and test programs.
Project Execution (OTR) Phase
Analyze the contract Quality requirements.
Establish the Project Quality Plan(s).
Ensure project specific Quality Control documentation (ITPs, etc.) is prepared.
Manage the Customer Observation Points, prepare notifications & coordinate visits.
Manage the Non-Conformance Reports submitted to the Customer.
Manage Quality documentation, provide shop quality documentation (EoMRs) to Customer.
Capture the project quality lessons learned and ensure processing through related (ERS) database.
Interface with the customer on quality matters.
Hold project quality kick off meeting to ensure that the PQP, ITP and all other quality requirements are communicated and implemented on the project.
Establish the Consortium Quality Plan where applicable.
Ensure Site ITP’s (civil, construction & commissioning) take the contractual requirements into consideration.
Follow Customer Experience (CX) and coordinate actions with functions.
Monitor, report and where necessary lead Nonconforming Product process for the projects he/she is assigned.
On a regular basis, consolidate reports and act on Quality at Project level, based upon the requirements of the Business.
Technical Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge / experience
A strong first experience related to the function - EPC project based
Fluency in English (Spoken and written)
Experience in Power Industry.
Qualification in Quality Management Systems as Lead Auditor as per ISO 9001, etc.
Continuous Improvement expertise.
Experience in compliance/certification of power plant equipment according to global regulations, codes and standards (e.g. EU-Directives, ASME codes).
Fluency in German (Spoken and written)
