General Electric Internship - Simulation Development Engineering (m/f) in Baden, Switzerland

Role Summary:

The internship will be performed in the Mechanical Equipment Team within the Gas Plant Engineering organization. This team is responsible for project development, design and execution of non-fired heat exchangers in combined cycle power plants.

Essential Responsibilities:

This internship will be focused on bringing engineering simulations to the next level. After a detailed introduction to our equipment design and physics you will have opportunity to automate the mechanical engineering calculations and simulations processes. You will also work on the cross-platform engineering app development whose purpose will be to make automated design optimization using machine learning from big-data.


  • Graduating Bachelor or Master student in Computational Science or Engineering Facultieswith skills and interest in Programming&nbsp

  • Interest and / or better experience in numerical simulations (e.g. Ansys, Matlab)&nbsp

  • High level of motivation and pronounced communication skills

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
