Job Description

As the Tax FP&A Leader, you will be responsible for leading the company's tax forecasting, planning, and analysis activities. You will work closely with the tax, finance, and accounting teams to develop tax projections, identify tax planning opportunities, and assess the tax implications of business decisions. Additionally, you will drive process improvements and support the development of tax strategies that align with the company's overall financial goals.

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement tax forecasting, planning, and analysis processes to ensure accurate and timely tax projections.

  • Coordinate/collaborate with regional tax teams to oversee the forecasting, planning and analysis activities in local jurisdictions

  • Assess the tax implications of business decisions, such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and capital expenditures.

  • Evaluate tax return positions and monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate those changes to the finance and accounting departments.

  • Identify areas of potential tax risk and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.

  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liability.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management on tax planning and analysis topics.

  • Collaborate across GE Vernova Tax Operations Team to provide training and share best practices.

  • Drive and be involved in global projects, interact with cross-functional teams within the organization

  • Supervise and train newcomers and analysts

  • Additional tax related tasks as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in tax planning, tax forecasting, or tax analysis, preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.

  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

  • Experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

  • Professional certification, such as CPA or CMA.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Knowledge of international tax issues and transfer pricing as they relate to tax planning and forecasting.

  • Experience in tax audit defense and controversy management.

  • Understanding of the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.

  • Ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on tax and financial analysis.

The salary range for this position is $144,200.00 - $192,300.00 - $240,400.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a variable incentive compensation bonus of 15%.
