Job Description Summary
Field Resource System Manager will be responsible for defining business requirements for the resource management and competency management system in the global Steam Power Field Service organization. This role will participate in business process due diligence and analyses Steam Power Region Field service requirements for new and/or existing Resource Management application implementation projects. In addition, this position owns globally from a business view the steam power resource management and competency management systems.
Drive the global Resource Management process standardization and process governance across the SP Regions around allocation and prioritization of both TFA, Craft and third-party resources
Develop documentation (Business Requirements & Solution Design Documentation) and obtaining Region Field Service signatures, as appropriate
Drive consistent global tool adoption for the core Resource Management operating systems providing framework for optimized resource allocation
Partner with Steam Power Region Field Service Teams and agree on standard key metrics like competency and skill matrix and Field Service Training metrics
Deliver full lifecycle Resource Managements System implementations from inception to roll-out with the ability to lead and cooperate with the IT Functional owner
Develop and specify Resource Management system enhancements and long-term digital transformation improvements.
Work with Field Service Resource managers users and IT application owner together to identify and define the business & technical solution architectures to fulfill the Region Field Service business needs
Use LEAN methodologies, manage project risks, and lead training activities.
Assist with projects that include strategy development, requirements definition, business process improvement, stakeholder involvement, change management, quality assurance, risk management, user training, application configuration, system installation, and testing.
Implement Daily management strategies to support essential responsibilities.
Run “what if” scenarios for emergent and changing needs
Other duties as required
Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
English proficiency required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Operations, Engineering, Management or related field (Or a High School Diploma / GED with considerable years of Field / Operations experience, in Power Generation installation or maintenance)
Considerable number of years of combined experience in project management, operations, field services, engineering, or other related fields
Considerable number of years of experience in Energy Services industry
GE operational experience
Excellent management, presentation, customer service, and communication skills
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, statistically literate and familiar with LEAN concepts and tools
Knowledge of power generation products, maintenance, services, and installations
Prior experience in resource operations
Technical experience with Resource Management systems like ServiceMax, SAP FSM, SFDC, etc
Project management skills
Ability to drive and manage change in a dynamic environment
Deep process knowledge of product lines and associated systems

The salary range for this position is $94,000.00 to $156,000.00 USD Annual . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a variable incentive compensation.
