Job Description Summary
This position will work on highly complex projects that require in-depth domain knowledge in two or more specialized security areas. They are responsible for driving the design and implementation efforts related to architecture, scalability, availability and performance alignment w/ the product roadmap with a focus on software defined networking, virtualization & automation. They may interact w/ functional leaders and principal architects to support emerging initiatives.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Work to design and implement security projects to transform products within the CoreTech portfolio with a focus on Cloud, SDN, NFV and SASE.
Ensure successful transition to the new standard FW and threat prevention technology
A focus on automation & orchestration and furthering the integration of Cyber Security & Risk management into the native development workflow experience across GE
Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line.
Partner with the larger Network organization to identify & prioritize automation targets across the network security portfolio
Contribute to the development of infrastructure platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses
Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support actives
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or in a "STEM" discipline (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in network or network automation related technologies OR a Master’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience

Desired Characteristics
Technical Expertise:
Experience working with FW/VPNs/Proxy/Remote Connectivity/Automation Solutions
Experience of designing Security solutions in entreprise environments
Security expertise in firewalls, IPS/IDS (CISSP) highly desirable
Experience with Palo Alto Networks (Panorama, Strata, App ID, User ID) FW implementation, and or other Firewall technologies
Experience with Security in the Cloud and SDN/NFV space
Experience with VPN technologies (Remote Users, Site 2 Site)
Automation skills is a big plus
Working knowledge of Identity Management and Two-factor authentication
Working knowledge of NAC for visibility and enforcement
Functional knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Azure Clouds is appreciated
Knowledge of one or more scripting languages, Python preferred
