General Electric Sr Staff Integration Architect in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Description Summary

Seeking an experienced hands-on integrations and solutions architect to own the integrations architecture of GE Digital Enterprise Applications portfolio.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the application teams and business owners to craft and drive a product roadmap for our data services, API, and integration platform.

  • Responsible for managing integration product portfolio and working closely with the agile development teams to ensure team is meeting business commitments.

  • Own the wing-2-wing design process, define required services, drive canonical models and reusability opportunities.

  • Working with the business stakeholders to streamline & improve business process across workstreams.

  • Assists in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap, design pattern, and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.

  • Able to produce functional area information in sufficient detail for cross-functional teams to utilize, using presentation and storytelling concepts.

  • Possess extensive knowledge of full solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing each area at an advanced level.

  • Gathers and analyzes data and develops architectural requirements at project level.

  • Should be able to produce high quality architectural artifacts like integration and data flow diagrams.

  • Researches and evaluates emerging data technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture is plus.

  • Coaches and mentors team members.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM”Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with significant experience.

  • 8 to 10 years of work experience.

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to consult business owners on alignment of outcomes and desired technical solutions at an enterprise level.

  • Expert knowledge on Integration Platforms and Cloud infrastructures.

  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), Business to Business(B2B) and web services concepts.

  • Ability to Analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.

  • Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.

  • Able to articulate the value of what is most important to the business/customer to achieve outcomes.

  • Able to produce functional area information in sufficient detail for cross-functional teams to utilize, using presentation and storytelling concepts.

  • Experience working in a Lean environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels.

  • Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership.
