Job Description Summary
Product Manager accountable for all aspects (planning, forecasting, production deployment) of the end-to-end lifecycle of products in the Vision Suite (DLI, Customer Portal) and platform capabilities across the Vision Suite. This position will operate in lock-step with application and domain leaders acting as product manager to create a clear strategic direction that will be delivered by the product development team. You will direct the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements captured as ideas/features and partner with the team to determine what can be delivered through balancing the need for new features, defects, and technical debt.
Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders including but not limited to: Customers, Process Owners, Enterprise Architects, Application Managers, Development teams and Technical Architects. In this role, you will:
Work to build strong working relationships & influence across 10-20 stakeholders within business process owners, product management, engineering and other stakeholder groups to successfully execute business strategy across GE businesses, partners and customers
Drive outcomes for the business and users that align with top business priorities and targets
Own the multi-year product roadmap and continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 product/program iterations of backlog are always ready for development
Lead global customer and stakeholder interviews to align product design with roles (personas)
Prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs
Be responsible for 2+ products/solutions with teams of 2+ pods and demonstrable benefits/return on investment (ROI)
Understand and support a product’s full lifecycle, from ideation through decommissioning based on current stage in the lifecycle
Drive product management maturity across the organization and standard work/processes
Assist in building the talent pipeline in the organization
For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Digital Technology & Technical Product Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college

Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate a single synthesized perspective to the product development team and skilled at leadership/executive overviews and debriefs
Experience leading and motivating teams in a formal software development lifecycle (SDLC) environment following an iterative software implementation methodology (Agile, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe))
Continuously measures deliverables of self and team against commitments, achieving high percentage actual completion to plan (>85%) .
Skilled in negotiation to align stakeholders and balance value propositions from competing stakeholders - effectively balancing multiple, different and/or competing objectives
Expert proficiency in tools supporting the SDLC such as Aha, Rally, SmartSheet, etc.
Identifies risks and misalignments with goals, objectives and work direction against the organizational strategy and mitigates risks/issues to course correct or escalates appropriately
Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to insist on high standards and manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision

Understanding of industry challenges, business processes and user pain points
Demonstrates awareness of the competitive environment and impact on the product
Demonstrates knowledge of technologies in the market to actively participate in buy vs build recommendations, drive market timing decisions and scope of MVPs
