Job Description Summary
The Network Automation Engineer will be responsible for performance and availability of the Network infrastructure consumed by all business segments. The Network Automation team is composed of highly talented individuals obsessively focused with identifying the high value add use cases and accelerating the adoption of automation across our Network infrastructure. In this role you will:
Develop and maintain Network Automation using Ansible and/or NSO
Design, develop, test and maintain network provisioning, and automation systems, with a specific focus on supporting Cloud network products and VNFs.
Work with Network Architecture, Network Engineering, Network Operations and other internal Teams to develop requirements and timelines for new features and integration.
Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level.
Propose solutions for developing scalable and highly available network software services used in the management of our IP Backbone, Hybrid Cloud Edge and NFV infrastructure.
Contribute to the development of infrastructure platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses
Support design and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, TCO, security, regulatory compliance and application system qualities, for different businesses.
Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
Coach and mentor team members
Bachelor's degree in computer science or in a "STEM" discipline (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
A minimum of 6 years of professional experience OR a Master’s degree in a relevant technical area with 4 years of professional experience

Demonstrated hands-on Experience with various development frameworks/technologies such as: Ansible/Ansible Tower, Java, Python, & Restful API
Experience automating SDN/NFV/NFVI Infrastructure is desired.
Proven design development deployment and configuration experiences
IP fundamentals (IP sub-netting, SNMP, MIB, Syslog) experience desired
Good understanding of L2 switching and L3 forwarding and routing protocols
Experience using an automated configuration management system (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, etc.)
Experience in managing version control systems such as Git
Knowledge of the SDN/NFV space is plus
Functional knowledge of AWS and Azure is a plus
Advanced knowledge of one or more scripting languages, Python preferred
