General Electric Lead Spend Analytics Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia
Job Description Summary
The Spend Analystis responsible for developing and applying best-practice processes and policies across indirects procurement, including spend analytics, savings and initiative tracking, sourcing tool configuration and application (eRFX/RFI, auctions). The Spend Analyst will identify opportunities to improve spend data capture and spend data accuracy and lead overall spend analysis and reporting (e.g., identify trends, maverick spend, validate savings, ...).The Spend Analyst will also work with the COE Leader to establish and institutionalize sourcing related best practices (Lean standard work, systems configuration, training development, etc.).
Roles and Responsibilities
Identify and implement opportunities to improve spend capture and accuracy (e.g., item-level detail, vendor categorization)
Develop and produce category-specific reports on spend, deflation, demand management, and compliance
Work with Finance, Business Sourcing, and Category Management to project manage savings initiatives and validate impact
Implement sourcing best practices, e.g., lean standard work, systems configuration/setup, training modules
Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, or equivalent consulting experience).
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, or equivalent consulting experience
MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering
Collaborative mindset in working across functional areas
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills (spend analytics, should-cost analysis, market R&I)
Lean / six-sigma experience
Excellent/Advanced MS Excel, Smartsheet, Tableau, Database management skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)•Demonstrated negotiations skills
Strong project management skills
Experience with RFQ implementation and execution
Working knowledge of ERP/ SSS systems
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus of up to 10%.
