Job Description Summary

Lead the Technology and Adoption team’s delivery (functional and technical) standards goals and strategy for an end-to-end customer product delivery focusing on standard practices and methodologies. Lead and Support to develop and enhance new and existing standards and tools for implementing Products like APM, OPM, OPA, etc.

Working with other global teams and regional delivery teams, develop/institutionalize a formal implementation methodology for improvement of systems, project tracking and delivery standards, and processes to ensure consistency of project delivery. Identify the areas of tailored needs if required and how to potentially reduce the timeline and standardize.

Responsible for wing-to-wing execution of technical and functional standards to deliver high quality outcomes to internal and/or external customers. Ensure voice of customer and customer value is at the center of all activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Create and upkeep a global execution map i.e. Services Blueprints, along with the required templates and standards to unify and accelerate delivery across regions.

  • Determine the responsibilities of and handoffs between technical and functional role of every product delivery, and each individual’s tasks.

  • Design standard work instructions and templates, tools, workflows to be followed by individual roles across the process.

  • Identify current process, tools, data availability, data quality, product’s technical challenges, feature limitations, implementation steps and analyze capability gaps.

  • Determine the standards based on gaps and identify product delivery timelines.

  • Identify mandatory trainings, minimal product understanding required for each roles and delivery of training packages to the involved team before on-boarding a project.

  • Determine the areas of automation in both process and project implementation steps to prevent redundancies, eliminate manual tasks and tracking system for requirements to develop these tools.

  • Determine Key Performance Indicators to monitor the delivery standards and the benefits in terms or SLA time reduction, defects reduction, customer satisfaction survey, feedback from internal team etc.•

  • Coordinate and work with Product and Engineering team, Practice Leads, Subject Matter Experts to come up with What and How diagrams of current as-is model.

  • Identify tools, 3rd party products like Smartsheet, JIRA, Rally, ServiceNow, Confluence or in-house tools like Support Central to come up with easy to use, scalable, flexible tools to be used across functional and technical teams involved.

  • Gather, examine and analyze the current model, methodologies and coordinate with respective team to come up with standard model, templates, SLAs, communication modes, etc.

  • Communicate with different team on periodic basis on upcoming changes in product, process, tools, trainings etc. to keep technical and functional roles updated.

  • Document policies, standard work instructions and other needed processes and identify ways to make is easily available for all regions.

  • Work with Requisition Engineers, Performance Engineers, Solution Architects, Product Engineers and coordinate on their implementations needs and come up with failure points, capability gaps and missing technical and functional knowledge and/or process.

  • Assess and monitor the day-to-day progress of project deliverables to identify functional/technical gaps.

  • Periodic reports on delivery standard continuous improvement options, channels and communicate to respective team.

  • Coordinate and support different stakeholders on their clarifications, knowledge gaps and ensure these are identified as gaps in current model and communicated to right Subject Matter Expert to come up with best practices.

  • Keep updated with Product releases and ensure to be part of testing to identify what new changes are needed in delivery standards.

  • Identify and leverage strategies, tools and practices to cover the job description above.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management

  • 6+ years experience leading a team with cross functional skills, technical skills, multi-location operations with proven record of successful team leadership, on time deliverables and excellent communication

  • Knowledge on process maturity models, project management standards, process improvement strategies, frameworks, concepts and methodologies like Lean, Kaizen, Agile, etc.

  • Knowledge and experience in identifying right methods, practices to come up with standard delivery tools, work instructions, templates.

  • Experience in handling situations with team coordination issues, beyond SLA delivery concerns, coordinate with respective team to come up with solutions and work arounds.

  • Knowledge and experience on IOT applications, PaaS, SaaS implementations.

  • Strong communication skills- oral, written, presentation and the ability to communicate with a wide range of team/roles and behavior styles

  • Creative and flexible to adapt to new situations in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment

  • Skilled with hand held technology, Rally, JIRA, ServiceNow, Smartsheets, Confluence and Microsoft Office Suites.

  • Solid analytical and decision-making skills

  • Prior knowledge and experience with GE business and domain understanding is good to have

  • Trainings and/or certifications in Lean, PMP is good to have

  • Prior experience on GE IOT applications, framework is preferred

  • Experience using basic tools like Postman, Github is preferred to easily understand issues and concerns brought by involved teams
