General Electric Commercial Finance Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Description Summary

Commercial Finance Analyst for Gas Power Services Selling and Operations (SS&O) is responsible for building, implementing, and driving Global Standards across the SS&O business line and poles for commercial finance activities. This role will be responsible for building standard processes for Multi-year Maintenance Plan (MMP) Business Line globally, supporting Commercial Leadership and improve/develop overall commercial finance process for SS&O.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support for business line operational leader and support Commercial finance leader

  • Run pipeline generation process providing visibility to orders by region and key deals to be executed commercially

  • Support SS&O leadership team in the preparation of budgets, operating plans, and commercial operating metrics and key performance indicators (KPI)

  • Aid in the development, implementation and measurement of operation plans and participate in their successful execution

  • Support development & enhancement of model for contract renewals and new contracts

  • Develop & own processes to gain line of sight into quarterly demand by leveraging systems & ongoing account planning initiatives

  • Engage with regional teams to support annual portfolio review & customer deep dives

  • Run analytics to better understand the install base utilizing cuts by duty cycle, technology, fulfillments, etc. to determine outliers & top performers

  • Partner with IT to drive system automation and process optimization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or a related field from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 3 years of finance, accounting or audit experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Finance experience in industrial business

  • Prior experience in Commercial Finance

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with results-oriented mindset demonstrating ability to influence peers across multiple functions, including regional teams

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues

  • Proficiency in analytic tools such Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.

  • Preferred graduate of finance management leadership programs (e.g. FMP, PFLP, etc.)
