Job Description Summary

Responsible for supporting and maintaining critical applications and related data processing platforms and services. Owns and is accountable for application and platform SLA's against operational commitments. Owns application security & compliance ensuring application & data integrity.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the Azure cloud operation daily tasks ensuring availability of services and deployed applications in line with existing ITSM processes and SLAs

  • Define strategy and tooling required to perform Azure monitoring, ensuring availability and integrity of services and deployed workload.

  • Lead root cause analysis of outages and issues related to Azure cloud services and deployed workloads.

  • Continuously evaluate the state of Azure platform ensuring proper tools and processes are in place in order to maintain a secure posture with regards to system vulnerabilities management and non-compliant configurations

  • Familiar with security and compliance control frameworks (Sox)

  • Familiar with CI/CD and infrastructure as code (Azure DevOps, Terraform and Ansible)

  • Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.

  • Participate in cross-teams initiatives to identify Azure cloud improvement opportunities

  • Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.

  • Participate in the infrastructure architecture governance model.

  • Support design and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, TCO, security, regulatory compliance, and application system qualities, for different businesses.

  • Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.

  • Experience implementing and operating Azure cloud platforms

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related program, or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 8 years of related experience

Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience with Azure

  • Understand concepts of setting and driving technical direction

  • Familiar with elements of gathering functional requirements

  • Understand technical standards & concepts to apply to project work

  • Interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities

Business Acumen:

  • Understand key cross-functional concepts that impact the organization; is aware of business priorities and organizational dynamics

Leadership:

  • Coach and mentor team members.

  • Familiar with concepts of costing hardware and software components. Works to assure work is on-time and within budget

  • Deliver tasks on-time with alignment to architectural goals. Can identify and raise issues, risks and benefits
